5 Fall Lipstick Shades We Can’t Wait to Try

By Maddy Weedle, Sep 08

With the arrival of 2015 fall fashions and colours, we're also seeing a whole new slew of lipsticks that are more dramatic and rich than previous seasons. Here's a list of the top five lipstick shades we're falling for this autumn.

1. Plum: Described as a more chic, sassy cousin of burgundy, plum is one of the hottest shades for fall. Pair the lipstick with a clean face and natural makeup. Dramatic, yet fun, plum is a go-to shade for cool night out this season.

2. Brick Red: We’re head over heels for the rich, brick-red lips that we’ve spotted on the fall 2015 runways. This glamourous Hollywood shade pairs well with a strong brow, clean eyes and matte brick lips.

Sephora Urban Decay Matte Revolution Lipstick in Deep Red $26

3. Beige Suede: A dusk nude is the perfect daytime shade for fall. Try The Body Shop’s Colour Crush Lipstick in Crush On Caramel that creates a high-impact colour. We love that this moisturizing lipstick is infused with a subtle rose scent.

The Body Shop Colour Crush Lipstick in Crush On Caramel (Matte) $14

4. Cocoa: For hydrated and dramatic lips try the Chantecaille Hydra Chic Lipstick in Willow available at Holt Renfrew. Sporting a rich brown shade is the perfect alternative to your basic maroon for fall, and this modern full-impact lipstick will keep your lips elegantly matte for up to six hours.

Holt Renfrew Chantecaille Hydra Chic Lipstick in Willow $42

5. Purple Passion: Purple passion is the unexpected colour for fall 2015. From muted-grape shades to bright lilacs, huge makeup brands have taken lavender lips to the runway. To avoid looking cold when wearing this cool shade, keep the skin looking flushed with some bronzer and eye makeup.
