Finding the Perfect Swimsuit

By The CORE, Jul 29

For many, swim suit shopping is a dreaded task, but it doesn't have to be. Here are a few things to keep in mind to make the proccess more enjoyable.

1) Always remember you are aiming for a balanced silhouette. Many swimwear stores have expert staff that can help you choose the most flattering look - don't be afraid to ask for help or get an opinion.

2) Disregard the size tag on swimwear – it's very common to wear a size larger in a swimsuit than in your clothes. Perfect fit is everything.

3) Look for the most figure flattering style for your body type by focusing on your attributes, not just on what you want to hide.

4) If you are not the same size on the top and bottom - look for swimwear separates which can be purchased in different sizes. Your swimsuit should stay in place with every move you make and provide good coverage without pulling or sagging.

5) Have fun. Choose playful colours and unique features like beading, ruffles, bows and extra straps that will make your suit stand out on the beach.

6) Find the perfect cover-up. You'll find it will come in handy as you walk to and from the beach. The perfect cover-up will allow you to feel fashionable without needing to change when grabbing a quick drink at the resort restaurant or a milk-shake at the beach side burger bar.
